A win-win for the whole community

We operate a low-cost home improvement and home-furnishing thrift store where customers can find unbeatable deals on everything from hardware to antiques! What’s more is that ReStore proceeds stay in Columbia County and are used to support Columbia County Habitat for Humanity’s mission to build homes, community and hope for local families and individuals.

If you’ve never been, stop by and see what hidden treasures you can find! With unbeatable deals on building materials and home funishings, you’ll understand why so many of our customers say: “You guys saved me a ton of money!”

Recycling

Our commitment to sustainability is at the forefront of what we do. The ReStore provides our community a place to recycle useable building material and home furnishings that might otherwise end up in the trash. As a result, the St. Helens ReStore diverts approximately 200 tons of material from the landfill every year!

Tax-deductible donations

All donations to the St. Helens ReStore are tax deductible. Proceeds from donations help us buy land and build houses for hard-working families and individuals across Columbia County. Feel free to drive up and to our intake area on Little Street, Tuesday through Saturday between 9:00am and 4:30pm to drop off your donations. If you need to schedule a donation pickup, please call us at 971.472.1688.

Although we sincerely appreciate your donations, we can only accept donations that we can sell. All donations must be approved by ReStore staff or volunteers in person. Click here for a list of items we can accept.

Volunteer opportunities

The ReStore provides a friendly place to volunteer! Volunteers can gain real-world experience working in a retail environment by helping us process donations, organize merchandise, operate the register and assist customers all while supporting Habitat’s mission in Columbia County. Not only that, but active volunteers are also eligible for a ReStore discount! Learn how you can get involved, or email [email protected] for more information.

Graphic shows how the ReStore connects with the community. Donors give their furniture, appliances, building materials, excess business stock and more. Volunteers contribute their time, talents and hard work to the ReStore. Shoppers find great deals on awesome stuff, with all proceeds from sales going to fund Habitat's work. Habitat uses the proceeds from the ReStore to help local families build and repair their homes. And, families work with Habitat to build or improve a safe, affordable home, creating better lives in your community! Additionally, Donating to a Habitat ReStore also saves thousands of tons of reusable materials from landfills!
